Geoff Paris Pottery

Back in the 1970's I took Pottery 'O' level at school (Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berks) and have always wanted to continue pottery but never had the opportunity.

So in September 2017 (after a gap of about 40 years!) Torquay Pottery classes started at 'The Shed' in Chelston, Torquay, which I joined, attending one afternoon per week. This is hosted by Ben Benjamin who has helped me along the way. Throwing pots didn't turn out to be my forte so I soon turned my hand to making marine and animal life. Some I displayed (and sold) at the Quayside Hotel in Brixham, where until June 2019 I was Manager, until recent semi-retirement to concentrate more on my ceramic creations.

So after a career in Hotel Management in the South West I now call myself a Ceramic Artist under the name of Geoff Paris Pottery being a Torquay Potter of Marine Ceramics. Items made include Octopus's, Geckos, Chameleon,  Crabs, Owl, Turtle, Coral Reefs, Vases, Landscapes and more to follow!

My latest thrilling venture is the publication of my hotel & catering memoirs, resulting in a  fabulous book called

More Sauce Madam?
